「日本の邦楽　ワークショップ＆コンサート」を行います

Traditional Japanese Performing Arts Workshops & Concert in fall, 2019 Honolulu, Hawaii.

２０２０年東京オリンピックを来年に控え、日本が世界から注目されている昨今、日本の文化風土も脚光を浴びています。日本を知りたい、文化を見たい、聴きたい、体験したい、そんな思いを受け、わたしたち愛知県名古屋を中心とする邦楽集団がハワイにて公演を行います。日本を訪れる外国の皆様、海外に住む日本人、たくさんの人があこがれを持つハワイの地にて、日本文化の発信です。日本の邦楽といってもたくさんの種類、ジャンルがあります。本公演は歌舞伎のバックグランドミュージックの一つの長唄、三味線、囃子。筝曲、尺八、日本舞踊の歌舞用公演であり、多くの日本の邦楽を観ることができます。古典曲あり、洋楽アレンジ、唱歌曲あり、どなた様にもお楽しみいただけます。参加者も名古屋を中心とした愛知県民と東京オリンピック開催地の都民、ハワイ在住日本人、アメリカ人と国の壁を越え一つの目標に向かって日々稽古努力を重ねる無料公演であります。

As 2020 Tokyo Olympics is approaching next year, Japan is attracting attentions from all around the world; Japanese culture is in the limelight. “We want to know Japan, see its culture, hear the sound, and experience Japanese culture.” In response to such eagerness, we, a Japanese music group centered in Nagoya, Aichi Prefecture, will present Japanese traditional performing arts on the island of Hawaii, where foreigners visiting Japan, Japanese living abroad, and many people are longing to be in.

There are various types and genres among Japanese traditional music. This event presents a variety of Japanese traditional music including nagauta, shamisen, and hayashi which are parts of kabuki performances, as well as Japanese traditional dance performances with koto and shakuhachi. The program also features Japanese folk songs, arranged western songs, and contemporary songs for all audience to enjoy.

The performers are Aichi residents from Nagoya Prefecture, Tokyo residents from the Tokyo Olympic site, and Hawaii residents of American and Japanese. Crossing the border between Japan and the U.S, we have been making continuous efforts to achieve one goal.

The performance is free of charge. We welcome you to a whole new experience of Japanese traditional performing arts.
